Inspiring the Next Generation: PGA of America to Host Youth Day at 2025 Ryder Cup
The 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black is bringing golf’s future stars into the spotlight with PGA of America Youth Day, set for Thursday, September 25. Local PGA Jr. League players and high school students will get the chance to step inside the action—right as the biggest team event in golf arrives in New York.
A Day to Experience Golf’s Biggest Stage
Youth Day attendees will enjoy free access (with a ticketed adult) to Thursday’s Ryder Cup practice round, while also watching the decisive singles matches of the 13th Junior Ryder Cup unfold on the same course where the U.S. and European stars will soon tee it up.
For junior golfers, this is more than just a chance to watch. It’s an opportunity to cheer on 24 of the best young players from the United States and Europe—many of whom may be the next Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, or Lexi Thompson, all past Junior Ryder Cup standouts.
“PGA of America Youth Day offers attendees a fantastic opportunity to watch the U.S. and European players prepare for golf’s greatest team event while also experiencing the excitement of the Junior Ryder Cup’s singles matches as the future stars of our game compete head to head,” said Bryan Karns, 2025 Ryder Cup Director.
Beyond the Fairways: Inspiring the Next Generation
Select Youth Day participants will also be invited to “Beyond the Green”, a career exploration event hosted by the PGA of America REACH Foundation. There, young people will connect with New York–based sports organizations, clubs, and leadership groups to see firsthand the variety of opportunities golf can provide beyond playing.
The day caps off with a seat at the Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony, giving students and PGA Jr. League players an unforgettable introduction to the week’s festivities.
Free Junior Admission Returns
The PGA of America is extending its commitment to youth accessibility with free admission for juniors 15 and under (when accompanied by a ticketed adult) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Bethpage Black. Each adult ticket holder may bring up to two juniors, with junior tickets available on-site—even if the Ryder Cup is sold out.
More Fun at Ryder Cup Live in NYC
Youth Day isn’t the only junior-focused celebration. On Saturday, September 27, PGA Jr. League players can also enjoy PGA Jr. League Day at Ryder Cup Live at Rockefeller Center. From 1–3:30 p.m. EST, kids wearing their team jerseys will have access to an exclusive fan zone, long-drive simulator competitions, prizes, raffles, and a Ryder Cup–themed gift bag.
Inspiring Today. Growing Tomorrow.
Since 1997, the Junior Ryder Cup has been a proving ground for future champions. With Youth Day at Bethpage Black, the PGA of America is giving today’s junior golfers a front-row seat to history—and a chance to see what’s possible when passion meets opportunity.
