EUROPE
Monday Memories: Tiger Strikes, Donald Answers

When the American pairing of Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods clawed back their fourball match against Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia to 1 down, after being 4 down at the turn, it looked like Europe would fall to another defeat in the fourballs.
With Woods hitting his approach to the par 3 16th hole inside ten feet, it looked as if the match would be heading back to All Square with two to play.
Step forward Luke Donald.
With his partner facing a slippery putt down the hill, the former World Number One nearly holed out, leaving his ball just a few feet from the hole and shifting the momentum in Europe’s favour.
The European pairing won by one hole, which turned out to be a key victory in the Miracle at Medinah storyline.
