Ryder Cup Europe and the PGA of America today announced that Stripe has signed a new agreement to become a Worldwide Partner and the Official Payment Solutions Partner to golf’s greatest team contest—the Ryder Cup.

Established in 1927, the biennial competition pits 12 of the top professional golfers from the U.S. and Europe against each other in a head-to-head match play competition that has become one of the world’s greatest sporting events, captivating an audience of millions around the globe. The partnership agreement will see Stripe become a top-tier Worldwide Partner to both the 2027 match at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland and the 2029 match at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota, USA.

Dual-headquartered in San Francisco and Dublin and founded by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison, Stripe is building programmable financial services for businesses of all sizes—from ambitious startups to the world’s largest enterprises. This includes the Ryder Cup, which is building on its existing online payments partnership with Stripe so that fans enjoy a faster, more seamless way to pay—whether buying tickets online or spending at the event. Online ticket sales and hospitality packages will be available through a single checkout experience, with Stripe Link offering fans a faster, one-click option and local payment methods supporting the Ryder Cup’s global fanbase. On site, Stripe Terminal will be able to power payments across food and beverage, merchandise and retail, and Stripe will also work with the Ryder Cup to ensure consistent financial reporting.

Conor McNamara, Chief Revenue Officer EMEA at Stripe, said: “Some of the world’s most complex businesses rely on Stripe for their financial infrastructure—from payments to managing billing, revenue, and money movement. An event like the Ryder Cup—hundreds of thousands of fans with payments running across ticketing, food and beverage, and merchandise—is exactly the kind of scale Stripe operates at everyday. We’re proud to become a Worldwide Partner and to power the full fan journey, from buying tickets at home, to spending at the golf course.”

Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive Officer at the European Tour group, added: “The Ryder Cup has grown to become one of the biggest events in global sport. The ticketing, merchandise and catering operations are significant, with over 70,000-square-feet of merchandise space alone at the 2025 match in New York. Stripe’s technology platforms will help us to deliver a cashless experience in Ireland with increased speed and convenience for our fans around the world.”

Terry Clark, Chief Executive Officer at the PGA of America, added: “We are proud to welcome Stripe as a Worldwide Partner of golf’s greatest team event. By leveraging Stripe’s advanced payment solutions, we are excited to offer spectators at the 47th Ryder Cup at Hazeltine a seamless payment experience at every touchpoint.”
