In 2018, The Ryder Cup will be held in Continental Europe for only the second time in its history. Le Golf National in France will be hosting the biennial match on its spectacular L'Albatros course. Following recent extensive renovations, the course is shaping up to be a true test of both teams’ abilities and has a formidable reputation amongst some of the world’s top players and Ryder Cup luminaries:
This is such a difficult course here (at Le Golf National), we may have one of the greatest Ryder Cup venues in European golf history in 2018.
Graeme McDowell (Northern Ireland)
My favourite course in Europe. It would make a great Ryder Cup venue.
Lee Westwood (England)
One of the best I have played.
Jose Maria Olazabal (Spain)
Situated around 20 miles south west of Paris, the spectacular course is one of the best in the world for spectators and is consistently ranked in Europe’s top ten courses.
