J.J. Spaun’s unforgettable victory in the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club was part of an impressive 2025 that saw the Los Angeles, Calif., native finish second on the points list to clinch a spot on Captain Keegan Bradley’s U.S. Ryder Cup team.

Spaun, who claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the 2022 Valero Texas Open, played his collegiate golf at San Diego State University and first earned his PGA Tour card in 2017. He competed in the 2019 PGA Championship at Bethpage Black, finishing tied for 54th.
